Citizens of Earth Co. was founded in early 2017.

Our mission is to make travel more accessible for everyone. We want to inspire travelers of all ages to step out and explore the world around them.

About Yafen

Hi there! I’m Yafen. I’ve been traveling around the world since 2010. I started Citizens Co. in early 2017 to maintain a diary of my travels and to share tips with fellow travelers. Since then, my photography has been featured in Royal Caribbean Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Expedia, Business Insider, Daily Mail, and more. By day, I’m a full-time healthcare administrator and I cherish my vacation time. My home base is New York City where I reside with my husband. I love mapping out cities and sites, reading travel guides, and planning my next trips. So far, I’ve been to 15 countries and 50+ cities and counting!

ABout Johanna

Johanna Lemon is a Southerner by birth and a Solo Lady Wanderer by choice. She was bitten by the travel bug in college, and since then, has lived for spells in London, Paris, and Morocco. She's taken jobs in Alaska and Marrakech, successfully served in both the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps, and has finally landed in the incredible city of Boston! She's been to 14 countries, explored 60 European and North African cities, and of course has many more on her list. When she's not flying solo, she's got the world's best travel buddy sitting right next to her - her mom.
