Walk in Annapolis, Maryland

Annapolis ranks amongst America’s prettiest cities and it’s not hard to see why. There is a great collection of restaurants and shops. We were recommended Sailor Oyster Bar by someone whose family lives in the area, as it did not disappoint. A walk through the downtown shows an eclectic mix of brick and shiplap houses and yes, it was quite pedestrian friendly. We went during July which is height tourist season but the places were not overwhelmingly crowded. We even did a boat ride and explored Spa Creek onboard a small vessel. Sailing is of great importance as there is a nautical element when a city is surrounded by so much water so you will see some decked out yachts in the area and sailing related events. We do recommend you try some seafood.
