Josh Groban Concert

Okay, I’ve been a fan since forever and I bit the bullet to attend a concert. It did not disappoint! I originally got the tickets maybe a year back and a dear friend was meant to join. She had a great reason to miss it because she had a baby that I get to spoil! So my husband was a stand-in. There was singing, a variety show of sorts, and more. That’s a snap of Radio City Music Hall! I adore the old art deco touches. Definitely worth a visit to see the building and the theater.

Dinner Party with Friends

Yes, those are my travel photos in my dining area. I hosted my first semi-formal dinner party! In the midst of a giant kitchen mess, I neglected to take photos of the food but I promise plates were cleared, which is a good sign, right? To start, we had charcuterie and appetizers in the living room. Proscuitto, salami, brie, drunken goat cheese, manchego, quince paste, assorted artisanal crackers, and more. Dinner was three courses, mussels to start with a white wine sauce, a salad with microgreens and Massimo Bottura’s balsamic vinegar and my own candied pecans, osso buco with a red wine sauce, heirloom carrots, and tiny potatoes. Learning the art of slow living is really hard for a New Yorker, but since the pandemic, we’ve learned to appreciate weekends without jam packed activities.

Dimsum with Hubby

I actually have Cantonese heritage so dim sum is of huge importance to me. What’s the difference? China is huge and the region where my family is from speaks Cantonese and the cuisine is a lot of rice due to tropical weather and seafood due to proximity to the sea. And not a lot of spicy food. Luckily my husband loves dim sum and we went to a neighborhood spot to get some steaming shu mai, buns, and some more adventurous items that were a part of my childhood (chicken feet anyone?). Unfortunately I don’t have photos to share because we devoured it so quickly.
